Immediate past Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Chief Godswill Akpabio, has been admitted at the National Hospital Abuja after being involved in a motor accident this morning.
A close family source told TheCitizen that his siren-blaring convoy was said to have crashed into other vehicles while trying to beat traffic light, with the former governor sustaining injury.
Althogh the extent of his injury was not disclosed by the doctors at the National Hospital at the time of filling this report but it was gathered that he is in the intensive care Unit of the hospital.
Since the news broke this morning, prominent Nigerians and well wishers have throng to the hospital to see the Senate Minority Leader, including Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State.
