Olomu in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State was in the early hours of Monday thrown into jubilation, following the release of Mrs. Sarah Aguariavwodo, the octogenarian mother of ex-Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Senator Emmanuel Aguariavwodo.
This is coming on the heels of the release of the younger sister of Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, after over two months in captivity.
Mrs. Sarah Aguariavwodo got to her Okpare-Olomu residence few minutes past 12a.m. after spending 13 days in captivity, following her kidnap at her Ogbe Street residence.
The victim was abducted after two previous attempts failed.
A member of the family, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said no ransom was paid for her release, adding that a suspect was arrested in connection with the incident.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Celestina Kalu, said one person had earlier been arrested in connection with the incident. Vanguard
