Access Bank Plc has announced the appointment of two independent non-executive directors following the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
A document presented to the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Wednesday identified the appointees as Mr. Iboroma Tamunoemi Akpana and Mr. Adeniyi Adedokun Adekoya.
Akpana is the managing partner of Solola& Akpana, a commercial and oil and gas law firm in Nigeria.
He is a consummate corporate and commercial lawyer with a career spanning more than two decades, and has a track record of academic and professional excellence.
He graduated as a top student in Law from University of Jos and later obtained a masters’ degree from Harvard Law School. He is licensed to practise law in Nigeria, England and Wales and the United States of America.
Adeniyi is a highly experienced maritime and oil and gas industry expert with significant investment banking experience.
He is currently an executive director with Synerpet Nigeria Limited (formerly Akeprime Limited).
