Airtel Nigeria has launched a data campaign tagged ‘Always On,’ summarises Airtel’s brand promise to continuously deliver innovative mobile data offerings and world-class internet service to customers.
According to Airtel, ‘Always On’ data campaign is a statement which reassures its teeming customers particularly the youths and young-at-heart, of its commitment to offer reliable and affordable internet services which guarantee them enriched and exciting experience on the network.
To enjoy the full benefits of the service, customers are expected to dial *401#. On activation of the package, customer is charged N5 daily and offered 1MB data plan. At the exhaustion of the 1MB data plan, the customer begins to pay 1kobo per kilobyte which is the ‘out of bundle’ rate for this package, as against 5 kobo per kilobyte which is the ‘out of bundle’ rate for existing plans.
The Always On package allows the customer to always be connected on the internet with unlimited access at very affordable rate. The package attracts a daily service charge of N5.
Airtel’s chief commercial officer, Mr. Maurice Newa, noted that ‘Always On’ data campaign affirms the passion of Airtel to meet and exceed the expectations of customers in terms of internet service and data offerings.
He said: “Airtel realises the yearning of customers to always stay online and remain connected to their loved ones, families, business associates and friend. So by offering reliable internet service with various affordable data packages which keep them always on the internet as they desire, Airtel is providing customers with platforms to achieve their professional and personal dreams.”
Newa also noted that data and internet connectivity have become indispensable components of the 21st century enabling many activities ranging from business, education, entertainment, information, governance and other human endeavours, which is the essence of the data campaign.
The campaign identifies the internet not only as the ‘6th sense’ of the youths but also as a technology playground around which their lives revolve.
Poised to continuously blaze the trail in rolling out customer-oriented products and services, the telecoms operator recently launched affordable data bundles for Android users. Airtel also came up with the WTFB to offer the youth ample freedom and easy access to key social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter and BBM.
