Niger State Governor, Dr. Muazu Babangida Aliyu has distanced himself from a poster carrying his image and that of All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari for Senate and President respectively, pasted in strategic locations in Minna the state capital.
Chief Press Secretary to Governor Aliyu, Israel A. Ebije, in a statement in Minna Sunday described the appearance of the posters as the handwork of enemies, saying, “Desperate politicians have resorted to fabricating campaign posters to mislead and cause friction among Niger chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members.”
According to the statement, “The general public has been alerted on attempt by mischief-makers to mislead electorates with a campaign poster carrying the image of the Niger State Governor, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu and General Muhammadu Buhari for Senate and presidential election respectively.”
