Anambra govt, partner Austria to boost electricity

The Anambra State Government says it plans to partner with an Austrian firm to generate electricity through waste-to-energy technology.

Mr. James Eze, the Chief Press Secretary to Gov. Willie Obiano, stated this on Wednesday in Awka.

Mr. Eze, who is part of a delegation on an official visit to Austria, said government was exploring best possible and cost effective ways of converting tonnes of waste in the state to energy.

He  said the state was in dire need of electricity to power its industrial sector which has lots of employment potentials.

According to Eze, the Chief Executive of EVM Mag Wermer Wenolf was delighted to receive the Governor and his team.
