A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Chief. Tofeek Ayoade, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the appointment of new service chiefs, describing the move as a step in the right direction.
He commended the President for upholding the federal character principle in the appointment of the service chiefs as all the six geo-political regions were fairly represented.
Chief Ayoade expressed optimism that the new service chiefs would deliver considering their past records and vast experiences in the field.
He also charged the appointees to use their experience to effect positively the security landscape of the nation.
Chief Ayoade, in his encomium for Pres. Tinubu, said that “there is no better time than now. Nigerians urgently need President Bola Tinubu, a man with vast leadership qualities and charisma to steer the country to the right direction”.
Chief Ayoade further stated that there was the need for synergy among the new security chiefs to achieve the projected results.
The APC chieftain also enjoined Pres. Tinubu “to go all out and ensure implementation of security sector reforms and security sector governance.”
Meanwhile, Chief Ayoade has congratulated President Tinubu on his victory at the poll and emergence as the President of the most populous black nation in the world.
He also congratulated Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila on his appointment as the Chief of Staff to the President as well as the acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun and wished them success in their respective assignments.
