An All Progressives Congress (APC) Chieftain and a former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Akeem Muniru, has congratulated Mr. Kayode Egbetokun on his appointment as the Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP) by President Bola Tinubu.
Hon. Muniru, while describing Egbetokun’s appointment as a “well-deserved appointment”, called on the Acting IGP to use his position and the opportunity given to him to rebrand the image of the police force across the country.
The former House of Representatives member also urged the acting IGP to use his wealth of experience in the field to rebrand the police force and bring sanity to the system, just as he did during his tenure as the Lagos State Police Commissioner.
He added that the newly-appointed Acting IGP has demonstrated uncommon commitment to his job as a police officer and a patriotic Nigerian and therefore there were no doubts he would deliver in his new role.
He, therefore ,wished the new acting IGP a successful tenure of office.
Hon. Muniru also applauded His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu, for his bold move in replacing the service Chiefs, which he said was a move in the right direction.
He also seized the opportunity to congratulate his brother and friend Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila for his emergence as the Chief of Staff to the President.
In the same vein, Hon. Muniru saluted his friend, Lagos State Governor, His Excellency, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on his re-election.
