A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and traditional Priest, Mojimu Adele, has taken a swipe at the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. Babachir Lawal, over his recent criticism of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Federal Government.
According to the APC Chieftain, Lawal ought to manage his emotions wisely, noting the intensity of anger he dished out and the nature of his utterances could contradict the positive attributes he demonstrated in the past.
Adele made the remark on the heels of the former SGF’s recent appearance on Channels TV where he harshly criticised President Tinubu.
Lawal had said he would have been sacked, killed or resigned if he were part of the Tinubu administration.
The former Secretary to the Federal Government was said to have also uttered some tribalistic rhetorics, describing the Tinubu-led administration as nepotistic, while also condemning the removal of the fuel subsidy.
Adele said Lawal’s current rhetoric raises a question of integrity and respect for the office of the President, asking if he had lost sight of the pride and dignity that should guide political pursuits.
The APC Chieftain further stated that the former SGF must learn to caution his utterances to negate the consequences of unguarded speeches.
Meanwhile, the APC Chieftain has warned Nigerians generally to be mindful of their utterances about the office of the President warning them that some negstives could attract the displeasure of the gods of the land and in most scenarios, the offenders were dealt with ruthlessly by the gods of the land.
In his final remark, Adele showered encomium on President Tinubu for his leadership drive and resilience in redirecting Nigeria on the right track.
In the same vein, the traditional priest saluted his brother and friend, Mr. Kayode Egbetokun , Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President and the good people of Osun State and Nigerians in general for supporting President Tinubu and trusting in his leadership drive and policies, praying the gods of the land to grant a prosperous, united and formidable Nigeria.
