The Acting Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, (CECPC), Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, maintained that the report of the Sub-Committee on zoning formula had been adopted and would be released imminently.
Bello who assumed the leadership of the party after its predecessor, Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State went on a medical trip abroad noting that by next week, the party will hold its National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting.
“The report if the zoning submitted has been adopted and it will be released any moment from now. I mean the zoning formula.
“Hopefully, by next week, the NEC meeting will hold”, he said.
On how the party is preparing for the national convention with regards to the reports with the sub- Committees, he said, the new leadership will continue meeting.
He said: ” It is a continuation of yesterday’s meeting. And just know you are not going to be asking me the same thing tomorrow because we are going to be meeting every day until the convention so that we can put things together.
“Today we look at the convention sub-committee and we collected some of the reports from the committee hoping that tomorrow we will decide on the next step to take.
“Nothing much happen today”, he noted.
On whether the former CECPC Secretary, Senator John James Akpanudoedehe is still part of the new leadership, Gov. Bello replied, “ask him”.
