The police said 15 bodies had been recovered from the scene of the bomb blast at the Federal College of Education, Kano, on Wednesday.
A statement issued in Abuja by the force spokesman, acting Commissioner of Police, Mr Emmanuel Ojukwu, said 34 persons were injured.

The statement said two armed men detonated Improvised Explosive Devices in the lecture hall of the college at about 3.30 p.m.
“Thereafter, they began sporadic shooting outside the premises.
“Police team from a nearby Tactical Operations Point responded and shot dead the two insurgents,’’ the statement said, adding that the AK 47 rifles carried by the men were recovered.
It said that investigation into the incident had begun.
Meanwhile, the Police Command in Kebbi has arrested 89 suspects after a mob attack on a Divisional Police Station in Kamba on Wednesday in which four persons died.
A statement issued in Abuja by the force spokesman, said the mob burnt down two police vehicles, nine motorcycles and smashed windscreens of four cars parked in the premises.
“The mob also burnt the official residence of the Divisional Police Officer.’’
The mob carried out he attack after a Niger national, Adamu Gaya, was taken into custoday at the station.
The statement explained that at about noon, a group of villagers in Kamba attempted to lynch a Gaya who was alleged to have been involved the ritual murder of a young girl.
“The police rescued and brought him (Gaya) into protective custody.
“However, irate villagers attacked the police station and destroyed the communication base.’’
The statement said the Inspector-General of Police, Mr Suleiman Abba, appealed to citizens not to take laws into their hands, but to assist law enforcement officers in maintaining law and order.
