The Borno State government said it has enrolled 124,000 vulnerable people affected by insurgents into healthcare system in some hard to reach local government areas in the state.
Executive Secretary, Borno State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (BOSCHMA), Dr Saleh Abba disclosed this in Maiduguri yesterday that the agency aimed to enrol 250,000 vulnerable people affected by the conflicts.
He stressed that the initiative prioritises wellbeing by ensuring that each Primary Healthcare Centre (PHC) receives the necessary funding tailored to their unique needs, especially in the hard to reach communities in the Lake Chad.
He said that they enrolled vulnerable individuals, including pregnant women, children, the elderly, and those living with disabilities in the free healthcare scheme.
