A former Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari, has emerged the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2015 general elections.
Buhari polled 3,430 votes to defeat a former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, who scored 954 votes.
However, the votes for other three contestants were still being counted as at press time.
Meanwhile, Atiku Abubakar has congratulated General Muhammadu Buhari on his emergence as the APC presidential candidate for the 2015 general elections.

congratulated the retired General on his Facebook page.
In the short congratulatory message, the Turaki Adamawa said: “Congratulations General Buhari.
The delegates have spoken, you fully deserve the victory.”
Buhari is however, yet to be announced officially as the winner.
