The kinsmen of the former Governor of Enugu State, Sullivan Chime have distanced themselves from the recent decamping of the former governor from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Over two hundred kinsmen from his Umuneke Udi clan in Udi Local Government Area of the state who rose from a meeting of Stakeholders and Leaders of Thought held at the community hall passed a vote of no confidence on the former governor, describing his eight year reign as governor of the state as totally dismal and inconsequential to the people of his area.
The leader of the community and former member of the House of Representatives, Chief Gary Eneh said the former governor was on his own as the people of the area remained solidly in PDP.
According to the communiqué jointly signed by Chief Sam Aneke and Emeka Aneke, the meeting noted the tragic neglect of the Umuneke clan in particular and Udi local government area in general by the former governor and how Governor Ugwuanyi has made hope, peace and balanced development the hallmark of his administration
The meeting unanimously passed a vote of confidence on Governor Ugwuanyi, Ekweremadu and the member representing Udi/Ezeagu federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Dennis Amadi for the good job they are doing for the people of Enugu State.
