A former Minister of Information and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Edwin Clark, has warned against his party granting waiver to a former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
Diclosing his opposition to the proposed waiver known at a press conference at his residence in Abuja on Thursday, Clark said Ribadu would be used to betray President Goodluck Jonathan at the end.
“The former anti-corruption crusader was known for raising false alarm against governors elected on the platform of the party in the past while serving as the chairman of the EFCC.
“Ribadu was also involved in the impeachment of unnamed governor of the party in the past,” he stated.
According to the Elder statesman, even when the President saved him from public disgrace by converting his dismissal to retirement as assistant inspector general of police, but Ribadu has refused to show gratitude to the President.
