Enugu govt pays July salaries without federal allocation

The Chairman of Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC), Enugu State Council, Comrade Igbokwe Chukwuma Igbokwe on Monday confirmed that Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s government has paid July salaries of state’s Civil/Public Servants without receipt of federal allocations for June and July, 2018.

The TUC commended Gov. Ugwuanyi “for setting a record”, adding that “this action of His Excellency, which is happening for the first time since the creation of Enugu State is an undeniable proof that he is not just workers-friendly but truly committed to workers’ welfare”.
