Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Afenifere leader, Pa Ayo Adebanjo and Presidential candidate of the Labour Party for the 2023 general elections, Mr. Peter Obi on Sunday stormed Enugu state.
Obasanjo, Adebanjo, Igbo elders and leaders as well as other eminent personalities drawn from far and near are in the Coal City for the 70th birthday anniversary of former President General of Igbo apex socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief John Nnia Nwodo.
Following the colourful ceremony, the premises of Saint Mulumba Catholic Church, New Haven, Enugu, is filled to the brim as crème de la creme of politicians, captains of industry, businessmen, the academia and other professionals converge on the area to felicitate with the celebrant.
Recall that besides the ceremony, Obasanjo and Adebanjo are strong supporters of Obi, the Labour Party candidate and ex-Governor of Anambra state.
Both former President Obasanjo and Afenifere leader were received on arrival at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, by the host state Governor Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
Chief Nnia Nwodo is a lawyer, economist and former minister of Civil Aviation.
He was the 9th President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo
