Fidelity Bank Plc on Saturday dismissed a social media video which featured an assault on two people at one of the bank’s branches in Lagos.
In a statement (with video evidence) signed by the Bank’s Divisional Head, Brand & Communications, Mr. Charles Aigbe, the bank explained that the two individuals involved were suspected of ‘shoulder surfing’ to steal customer card details at the ATM.
When the security personnel on duty interceded, the suspects attacked and injured him leading to the intervention of the mobile policemen on duty at the bank.
The bank added that, contrary to allegations, it did not order any violence against any customers and that there was no incident of the ATM at the branch not dispensing cash.
