Customers of Fidelity Bank Plc, who emerged winners in the first nationwide draw of the bank’s ‘Save 4 Scholarship,’ held in Lagos, have been rewarded with a total of N15.9 million.
The lucky customers emerged from a draw that covered all the regions in the country. The exercise was monitored by various lottery regulators. Also, numerous consolation prizes were won.
The first N2 million star-prize winner, was Mr. Agozie Nwosu, a customer of the Egbeda branch, Lagos of the bank.
In addition, Kikiyi Williams, Umar Aliu, Sharon Sunday Uneke, Vincent Nnabuike, Umar Musa Ahmed and Orumba Gerrard, all won N1 million respectively.
Also, several customers won N500,000, N210, generator sets as well as refrigerators.
Speaking on the promo, Executive Director, Shared Services, Fidelity Bank, Mrs. Chijioke Ugochukwu said the ‘Save 4 Scholarship’ is the fifth promo that the bank is conducting in the last seven years.
The bank plans to give out a total of N80 million in form of scholarship to customers through the promo.
“This is the first promo draw in the ‘save 4 scholarship’ which we launched nationwide recently. With this promo, we are tapping into the heart of the need of mankind, which is the need for generational self- improvement.
“What propels generational self-improvement and achievement is education. This has been recognised globally and there is no government that does not place education as a pillar for its developmental objectives and at Fidelity Bank, we always find a way to put ourselves in tune with the needs of our customers and the people. We always align our objectives with that of governments,” she stated.
According to her, with a population of about 170 million predominantly made up of young people as well as an environment where education is most important to the people, there is always need to support capacity development.
