The governor of Enugu state, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has described the death of Mrs. Caroline Onoh, wife of the former governor of old Anambra state, late Chief Chritian Chukwuma Onoh, as a great loss to the government and people of the state.
Late Mrs. Onoh who was also the mother of Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu, wife of the late Biafran leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, passed on last Tuesday in Enugu after a brief illness.
According to a release by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Uwakwe Abugu, the governor is saddened by the departure of the matriarch of the Onoh family of Ngwo at this critical period in the history of the nation when the wise counsel of elders are needed to give the country the desired direction.
Governor Ugwuanyi condoled with the immediate family of the woman leader and devout Christian as well the people of Ngwo.
He urged them to bear this loss with fortitude.
