Eight persons on Friday lost their lives to an auto crash that occurred at the Akabo market, Owerri-Okigwe Road, Imo State.
Eyewitnesses told our correspondent that the accident was caused by a head-on collision between an unmarked Hilux vehicle and a commercial vehicle popularly known as “Bus Imo.”
It was gathered that nobody survived the incident as all the passengers died.
One of the eyewitnesses who identified herself as Chike Ibem, said, “It was a face-to-face accident between a Hilux vehicle and Bus Imo. Eight persons in the vehicles died on the spot.’’
Contacted, the spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the state, Chika Ibezim, said that she was not aware of the incident.
