Human rights lawyer and activist, Fred Agbaje, has died.
It was gathered that Agbaje had been in coma for nearly two weeks.
He died at a London hospital after an undisclosed ailment.
Reacting to his death, Monday Ubani, Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), described Agbaje as “an erudite lawyer and activist”.
“His death is shocking and painful,” Ubani said.
“He was a foremost human rights lawyer and the legal profession in Nigeria and beyond will definitely miss him. I condole with his family, and pray for them.”
The human rights lawyer was known for his tough stance against corruption.
