Hyundai Motors Nigeria rolls out affordable Grand Xcent Sedan

In recognition of the Federal Government objective of making new vehicles affordable and accessible, Stallion Hyundai Motors Nigeria Limited, last week, rolled out B-Segment Hyundai Grand Xcent saloon car for the teeming motoring public.

The initiative, which is also in line with the National Automotive Industrial Development Plan (NAIDP), is aimed at transforming Nigeria from an import dependent nation to a well-heeled manufacturing hub, the management affirmed.

Unveiling the car at a media event in Lagos, Hyundai Motors Nigeria Managing Director Parvir Singh described the vehicle as an entirely new level of art and innovation with comfortable and spacious cabin that could cater for growing needs of pool-car operators and desiring upwardly mobile families.

The wholly home-grown Hyundai Grand Xcent saloon car is mated to a 1.25Litre Kappa Dual VTVT capacity 4-Cylider petrol engine, rated at 83ps at 6000 rpm and 111.8Nm torque, flaunting unprecedented fuel efficiency of 19.1km/litre.

“We are particularly delighted to roll out the B-segment Grand Xcent saloon to cater for the growing needs of a highly important market segment that wants an affordably priced, daily travel functional and reassuring saloon car.”

He commended the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), which according to him, motivated the company to look inwards to churn out newer Hyundai vehicles capable of catering for a growing market demand that wants supportive Nigerian car.

The Hyundai Grand Xcent sedan comfortably seats five passengers and responds to every expectation with alluring cabin colour, textures and shape with a sport appeal that could easily make large car envious.

“The engine is amazingly responsive and gets off to a fantastic start without sacrificing the brilliant aerodynamic appeal that makes the car one of the best entry level sedans yet.”

Couple with this is the quiet and smooth all-aluminum engine with exceptionally low weight materials to maximize fuel consumption.

The Xcent also displays sharp styling with a whole new level of innovation that attest to the luminously crafted exterior which leaves an everlasting impression on all those who catch a glimpse of it.

For instance, the clear headlight clusters, not only look good, they improve night vision and on-road visibility with extra safety just as the chrome-coated radiator grille is positioned to perfection to guarantee strong presence.

Hyundai Grand Xcent comes with bucket type front seats and ergonomically designed rear seats that give the car a premium feel with adjustable headrests and ample support.

This is in addition to the generous boot space that could accommodate your weekend luggage with bench folding function that provides an extra flat load space.

What’s more, the vehicle’s bumper reduces forward air flow resistance just as the rear spoiler enhances fuel economy and driving stability.

Hyundai, however does not compromise on safety especially when viewed against the structural protection that utilizes anti-corrosive steel, ring-structure application to enhance rigidity and body robustness of the car.

The new Grand Xcent is no doubt a car designed with the trappings of a C-segment sedan, which could attract field marketers and young couples, especially those looking for a versatile and fashionably outstanding car.

“The Grand Xcent may yet be one of the most affordable cars with extraordinary features in its class,” Mr.  Singh envisioned.
