Imo: APGA BoT member, Emma Iheanacho, lauds guber aspirant, Nick Opara-Ndudu

Captain  Emmanuel  Iheanacho  , former Minister of Interior and the All Progressive Grand Alliance ( APGA) flag bearer in the 2015, governorship elections in Imo  State, was full of encomiums for Nick Opara-Ndudu , describing him  as a capable hand who  has  the capacity to drive the state to  the path of glory.

Captain Iheanacho, presently, member of Board of Trusty (BOT) of  the party, who spoke at the formal declaration by Opara-Ndudu to contest the Imo 2019 governorship  election  on the platform  of the APGA , lauded the aspirant  for  putting together workable  solutions for the development  challenges  facing the state.

He said the solutions packaged by Opara-Ndudu are strong enough to address the intractable issues currently  assailing  the state.

In a well-attended  ceremony in Owerri, on Thursday, the Imo state capital,  Opara-Ndudu unveiled  his blueprint, which he said  would guide him in his effort  to arrest the ruin being witnessed  in every sector of the state  economy in  addition  to what has prepared  him for the daunting  challenges.

The former bank boss took the cheering and visibly  excited  audience , made up  of party  stalwarts and other stakeholders  through  his professional  career in banking where he rose to the very  top and his trajectory  in the public  sector where he also  served Imo people  in four different  capacities,  the high point being the attainment  of the highest  internally  generated revenue  that the state witnessed  while the portfolio  was under  his watch.

The blueprint themed: Imo- Creating Pathways to Prosperity and Growth,  covered  education,  agriculture,  industrialization,  health,  land reform,  tourism, housing among others.

He assured  the audience  that he is poised to heal Imo,  a task he considers  challenging   but doable.

He also promised  to build on the legacies  of Chief Sam Mbakwe, late governor of old Imo  State, by creating  massive employment  through  the linkage between  agriculture  and industry.

In his goodwill  message, an elated Captain  Iheanacho commended Opara-Ndudu for the depth of his programmes  and presentation, stressing  that  Imo needs a governor with a good combination  of private and public sector  experience  to clean up the mess the current  administration has created  in the state, an attribute  which , he said, Opara-Ndudu amply demonstrated in presentation.

He said he was  proud of Opara-Ndudu  and wished him well in his mission to  secure  the ticket to fly the party’s  flag in the 2019 gubernatorial election in the state.

He advised  his party  men and woman  present  to share the lessons  of the presentation  with others,  but to also listen to other aspirants and chose wisely at the party’s primaries.
