The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released 279 results from the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) that were earlier withheld for investigation.
JAMB disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday by its Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin.
According to Benjamin, the newly released results are in addition to those previously made available by the board, noting that the action followed ongoing investigations into suspected cases of examination malpractice.
He explained that while some results were cancelled after investigations confirmed involvement in malpractice, others were released after the board found no prima facie evidence against the affected candidates.
Benjamin further stated that results from examination centres flagged by JAMB’s live monitoring team for suspicious activities, as well as centres linked to adverse reports, would remain withheld pending the conclusion of investigations.
He added that any candidate found culpable after the investigations would have their results cancelled.
The board advised candidates yet to access their results to confirm their status by sending “UTMERESULT” to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during registration.
