The Kaduna State House of Assembly on Thursday confirmed Mrs. Ruth Alkali as Commissioner of Commerce, Industry and Tourism.
Mrs. Alkali was nominated by Gov. Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai to serve as Commissioner in the state.
The nominee appeared before the plenary presided over by Speaker, Alhaji Aminu Shagali and was screened and confirmed.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after the confirmation, Alkali expressed her gratitude to the governor for finding her worth for that position.
She assured the people of the state that she would work with all other government agencies in order to achieve the desired objective.
She also thanked the assembly members and assured them that she and other commissioners would work as a team to take the state to greater highest.
