The speaker of Kaduna State House of Assembly, Honourable Aminu Abdullahi Shagali, has declared his intention to represent Sabon-Gari federal constituency in the House of Representatives.
Shagali made his intention known to his supporters and political allies at the Sabon-Gari All Progressive Congress (APC) secretariat.
A statement by the personal assistant to the speaker on special duties, Mohammed Sani said that 12 state lawmakers including the deputy speaker, chief whip and the deputy majority leader among others were present at the declaration ceremony. Others present include the Sabon-Gari local government officials.
The Speaker who is currently representing Sabon-Gari constituency in the State Assembly said he has got the capacity and legislative experience required to give the area an effective and vibrant representation in the green chamber if given the opportunity.
According to the statement, supporters at the declaration acknowledged the speaker’s contribution to the constituency and state while they pledged to give him the maximum cooperation required for him to represent them at the National Assembly.
