Kogi: Gov. Bello to pay corpers N5,000 extra monthly allowance

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, on Monday allegedly promised  Youth Corps members posted to the state N10,000 each for transport fare, and another N5,000 on a monthly basis.

The N10,000 is a one-time lump sum payment, while the N5,000 will be for the entire service year on a monthly basis.

Bello reportedly said this at the Asaya NYSC Orientation Camp, Kabba, during the closing ceremony of the orientation course for the 2018 Batch B corps members.

According to Gbenga Olorunpomi, his Senior Special Assistant (Electronic Media), who tweeted the information on Monday, Bello also announced a personal donation of N5m to the family of an NYSC Director who died on Sunday night.
