Seven governors have arrived in London to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari, more than 80 days after the President left the country for medical attention.
Those who arrived in London on Wednesday include the governors of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari; Ebonyi State, David Umahi; Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, and Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel.
The other governors are Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, Samuel Ortom of Benue State, and Kashim Shettima of Borno State.
The President’s media aides, Femi Adesina and Shehu Garba, had told State House correspondents on Tuesday that the governors would meet with President Buhari by 3pm and hold a series of discussions with him.
According to them, the seven governors were selected by the Nigerian Governors Forum to make the visit.
The visit comes days after leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and some governors met with the President in London on Sunday.
The Imo State Governor and Chairman of the APC Governors’ Forum, had said in a statement issued by Mr Femi Adesina that President Buhari was very cheerful and has not lost any bit of his sense of humour.
The governor noted that the party delegation spent more than an hour with the President over lunch, adding that the President was delighted to receive them and asked each governor about affairs in his state.

Since May 7 when President Buhari flew to London for medical treatment, he hasn’t been seen in public with many people claiming his health had declined.
Okorocha, however, told Channels Television on Tuesday that he met the President in good health and not on life support.
“All I can say is that Mr President is in good health, he is not on life support and he will soon be back. I was thinking I was going to see him in the hospital, but he is not even in the hospital. He was at home relaxing and having a good time.”
The governor said considering how healthy the President looked, he was surprised he had not already returned to Nigeria.- Channels.
