The Peoples Democratic Party has given 48 hours to those who defected from the party in Delta State to return or face sanctions.
Some prominent members of the party in the state, including a former Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei, had defected from the PDP after the primaries.
Ochei defected to Accord party, on which platform he is seeking to go to the Senate to represent Delta North Senatorial District.
But the PDP on Tuesday gave the defectors 48 hours to return to the party or face sanctions.
The message was conveyed by the Deputy Chairman of the PDP for the South South Zone, Chief Cairo Ojougbo.
Ojougbo spoke at the Campaign Flag Off of the Delta State governorship candidate of the party, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.
