PDP sweeps 25 Assembly seats in Ekiti

The embattled governor of Ekiti State, Chief Ayo Fayose has gotten a life line if he survives an impeachment plot against him till May 29, 2015 when the current government will end.

This is so following the State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party sweeping 25 seats in the 26-member state House of Assembly.

This was contained in a statement made available to journalists in Ado-Ekiti on Sunday by the state Independent National Electoral Commission showing summary of the election results.

It indicated that the results were from 25 state constituencies while that of one constituency from one local council area was being awaited.

The spokesperson for the state INEC, Mr. Taiwo Gbadegesin, clarified that in the 16 council areas, results from only one council area; Ilejemeje, were still pending.

Gbadegesin stated that there was a crisis in Ilejemeje during the poll, adding that the results from the wards from the constituency in the council area were currently being collated.

The breakdown of the results from the 25 state constituencies across 15 council areas in the state showed: Ado 1: APC; 3, 819, LP; 1, 110 and PDP; 10, 065. Ado II; APC; 4, 660, LP; 301 and PDP; 11, 770.

Efon: APC; 1, 320, LP; 135 and PDP; 5, 637. For Ekiti East I; APC; 3,230 and PDP; 5,289. In Ekiti East II; APC; 4, 302, LP; 283 and PDP; 6, 601.

Ekiti West I: APC; 3, 601, LP; 1, 272 and PDP; 6, 531. Ekiti West II; APC; 2,505 and PDP; 2, 844.

Ekiti South-West I: APC; 2, 853, LP; 1, 121 and PDP; 4, 413. Ekiti South-West II; APC; 1, 538, LP; 1,231 and PDP; 4, 118.

Emure: APC; 3, 230, LP; 2, 674 and PDP; 5, 664. Gbonyin; APC; 5,627, LP; 169 and PDP; 8,140.

Ido/Osi I: APC; 2,928, LP; 461 and PDP; 7, 365. Ido/Osi II; APC; 2,269, LP; 216 and PDP; 4, 362.

Ijero: APC; 6,759, LP; 965 and PDP; 11, 867.

Ikere I: APC; 3,091, LP; 7 and PDP; 7, 244.

Ikere II: APC; 3,401 LP; 12 and PDP; 6, 570.

Ikole I: APC; 4,421, LP; 133 and PDP; 7, 886.

Ikole II; APC; 3, 110, LP: 831 and PDP; 4, 927.

Irepodun/Ifelodun I: APC; 2,708, LP; 1,246 and PDP; 4, 869. Irepodun/Ifelodun II; APC; 2, 582, LP; 158 and PDP; 6,652.

Ise Orun: APC; 4,235 , LP; 765 and PDP; 9, 123.

Moba I: APC; 3,246 , LP; 379 and PDP; 4, 975. Moba II; APC; 2, 373 , LP; 2,202 and PDP; 3,165.

    Fayose is the man and I love the support of Ekiti people for him . Those taliban and lagos based Ekiti legislators can now do their worst ib the winding assembly.
