The StarTimes has unveiled the Breaking -In Reality TV Show that would enable job applicants to secure employment on TV for their dream jobs.
The show was unveiled yesterday in Lagos by the Chief Executive Officer of StarTimes, Mr. Alex Jian, who explained that the philosophy behind the reality TV show is to provide a platform that would bring job seekers and corporate organisation hunting for skills to hire together.
The interviewers during the TV show would be from organisations hoping to hire any of them.
The TV show also has the support of the Lagos State Government and corporate organisations like Airtel, Guinness, Cadbury, O Pay, Bigi, Vivo among others.
Jian said: “StarTimes is to offer its customers affordable entertainment. During this pandemic I have seen a lot of people lose their jobs, which made their lives a lot harder. Combining these two things together, we are preparing a platform through which people can jobs in big companies. We want to get them job interviews on television. The platform is to link employers and job seekers together.”
The Content Director of StarTimes, Ms. Vicky Liu, described the show as a Corporate Social Responsibility and encouraged prospective job seekers or those seeking a new job to apply and submit their forms through the online registration platform, breakinginshow.com, for short listing and subsequent appearance on the show if selected without making any payment.
The Producer/Director of Breaking In, Mr. Yemi Ogundeji, said that the show is a platform that would educate and prepare every job applicant on how to break into the job he or she is looking for.
Ogundeji said: “We have a team of data specialists that will pool all the applications and invite the applicants to come for the show. But before appearing on the show, we have to actually meet with them to screen their Cee Vee and assign to them mentors who will talk to them on how to present themselves before employers.”
