Terrorists on Sunday killed four traders in the Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State.
It was gathered that the traders, who were from Zandam village, were going to a market close to the local government headquarters when they ran into the terrorists.
The spokesman for the Katsina State Police Command, SP Gambo Isah, confirmed the incident.
He revealed that the terrorists shot five traders, adding that four died on the spot.
Isah said, “Yes, the terrorists shot at five traders. Four died on the spot, while one was injured and rushed to a hospital in Katsina for medical attention.”
Residents added that the incident caused fear among other traders already at the market.
Jibia town was, however, calm on Sunday when this reporter visited.
