President Bola Tinubu has given the green light for the assignment of four newly appointed Federal Permanent Secretaries. This decision aims to strengthen governance and enhance service delivery in important areas.
On Monday, the Director of Information and Public Relations, Eno Olotu, released a statement on behalf of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation. The government explained that this action is part of its Renewed Hope Agenda and seeks to improve policy implementation.
“The President has approved the assignment of four (4) Federal Permanent Secretaries who were previously appointed and sworn in,” stated the release.
The announcement mentioned that these appointments followed a competitive selection process and are meant to encourage teamwork between ministries and promote sustainable development.
“The newly assigned Permanent Secretaries bring valuable experience, skills, and creativity to their new positions,” the statement noted. It also highlighted that their placement is aimed at enhancing performance, encouraging collaboration among ministries, and driving sustainable development across vital sectors of the economy.
The officials who have been assigned to new roles are Bekearedebo Warrens, who will work in Political and Economic Affairs at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation; Dr. Kamil Shoretire, who is moving to the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment; Nkiruka Jones-Nebo, who will join the Career Management Office in the Head of the Civil Service’s office; and Sani Aminu, who is taking on a role in Special Services within the Cabinet Affairs Office under the SGF’s office.
Didi Walson-Jack, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, congratulated those appointed and encouraged them to fulfill their responsibilities.
She stressed that professionalism, accountability, and effective leadership are key to achieving the Federal Government’s goals for development, according to the statement.
This deployment is part of ongoing changes in the federal civil service aimed at enhancing efficiency and aligning public administration with national development priorities.
