An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Ibadan, Oyo State, Chief Alao Ajibola, has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Tunji Disu as the acting Inspector General of Police (IGP).
Tunji Disu assumed office as the 23rd IGP following the exit of Kayode Egbetokun, the immediate past police chief.
The APC Chieftain thanked Pres. Tinubu for acting diligently and swiftly in appointing Disu, assuring him and Nigerians that the new IGP would make the country proud.
Chief Ajibola stated that his personal relationship with Disu helped him to discern the new IGP’s thoroughness and professionalism.
According to the APC Chieftain, Mr. Disu’s extensive experience in crime management well-positioned him to curb insecurity across the country.
Chief Ajibola also expressed confidence that the new acting IGP’s previous strategic postings and educational background would revitalize the Nigerian Police Force.
The APC Chieftain moreover enjoined the new IG to reposition the Nigerian Police Force to be as professionally focused as its counterparts around the world.
Chief Ajibola urged Mr. Disu to bring his expertise to bear at this dicey moment in the country’s political history by combating terrorism and in protecting lives and properties of Nigerians.
The Ibadan-based APC chieftain further called for national unity in supporting President Tinubu’s progressive socio-economic development agenda ahead of the 2027 elections.
Chief Ajibola also applauded Nigerians for believing and trusting in the agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressive Congress Renewed Hope Agenda, promising Nigeria and Nigerians that the party would never betray them.
In a related development, Chief Ajibola saluted his brother and friend, Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President, thanking him for his support and commitment in leading Nigeria on the right track.
