This must be happy times for Kejo Queen, Adasounds. If what we hear is true, two record labels are at daggers drawn over her! Reason, they are determined to sign her up at all costs. Enter business tycoon and socialite, Nnamdi Uba of Star Records and OJB jezreel of Amazing Works.
According to sources, Uba is determined to outdo OJB Jezreel in his bid to sign the sexy singer up no matter what it takes after OJB outsmarted him! Before now, Adasounds had inked a mouth watering deal with Ubah’s Star Records. However, everything fell apart as soon as legendary music producer, OJB steeped into the picture.
“Many people may not know it but OJB Jezreel has veered into music consultancy. He is the CEO of Amazing Works and a good number of artistes ranging from 9ice and Ruggedman have passed through his school. He recently heard Adasound’s works when she was working in the studio with Puffi T and was instantly struck!
“He sent his PA to her with his card for a meeting. Adasounds would have totally ignored him but because of the weight of his name in the industry. They held a meeting and to every one s shock, Adasounds has personally informed Uba of her decision to quit Star Records for OJB’s Amazing Works. In fact, industry watchers are stunned that she could walk out on Uba’s deal,” the source added.
According to another source: “The question is what made OJB want to sign on Adasounds despite the plethora of talent out there? Is it about her talent or just her beauty? Or has she charmed him? What could OJB have told her that made her dump Star Records? We are still at a loss.”
Meanwhile, another source revealed to Entertainer that despite the upset, Star Records is determined to work with Adasounds no matter what it takes including a partnership deal with OJB.
“Uba has moved ahead because he is business savvy. He is seeking new ways of either wrestling Adasouns from OJB’s grasp or partnering him. He recognises the power of the OJB brand and would want to do business with him,” the source said.
