On his part, the Chief Imam of Kano, Professor Sani Zaharradeen, called on the couples to obey Allah and follow the footsteps of their parents by becoming responsible members of the society.
He explained that marriage was an integral part of the religion of Islam and that its rules and regulations were ordained by the Almighty Allah, hence both should adhere strictly to the conditions guiding it.
Expressing his joy, Tinubu said the APC was a family that was out to unite Nigerians and that developments such as the one witnessed yesterday – the inter-tribal marriage – would only make Nigeria stronger.
