Former Nigerian Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has said he will defect to the Peoples Democratic Party if the devil repents and converts to Islam.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain was asked on social media platform, Twitter when he would ditch the APC for the ruling party but the petit politician said it was almost impossible for him to make the switch. The question posed him was, “When do u plan defect?” To which he bluntly answered “…when Satan repents & converts to Islam, I will consider the option & then reject it…..”
To echo the sentiments of his father, Bello El-Rufai wrote on his Twitter account. “I will personally decamp from my father’s side if he moves to the PDP. I say this because I know he will never entertain the thought.”
He then wrote that “The PDP is not the only thing wrong with Nigeria. It is certainly more complex than that. However, it is the main problem right now.”
To clarify his father’s position on the question of defecting he wrote: “He will not even provide the opportunity for the henchmen of the ruling party to “woo” him”.
Bello then rubbed it in by writing: “You criticize our party. But how can you compare a party that is about a year old and another that has held and abused power for 14 years?”
It will be recalled that Mallam Nuhu Ribadu an APC chieftain recently defected to the ruling PDP in Adamawa state.
