Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha has effected a minor cabinet reshuffle.
With the recent shake up in the Executive Council, the former Commissioner for Information, Strategy, Youths and Sports, Chidi Ibeh is now in charge of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, while Ifeanyi Ararume Jnr. who was a former commissioner for Commerce and Industry will now supervise the Ministry of Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and Internal Resources.
The former commissioner for IGR, Dr. Orikaeze Ajumbe was moved to the Ministry of Information and Public Utility, while Rodney Ajaelu now takes charge in the Ministry of Youths, Sports and Public Safety.
A statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Sam Onwuemeodo said the reshuffle has nothing to do with the non-performance of the commissioners as being rumoured in certain quarters.
