Semi finalists emerge in GTBank Masters Cup

Ansar Ud-Deen Girls High School Itire and Queens College Yaba have qualified for the semi final of the 2018 GTB Masters Cup football competition.

Also qualified for the last four are Ansar Ud-Deen College Isolo and Atlantic Hall, Epe. In the boys category, Kings College, Lagos, Igbobi College, St Finbarr’s College and Anwar-Ul-Islam Model College, Agege are the semi finalists in the same competition.

In the quarter final matches played last week,Ansar Ud-Deen Girls High School Itire, whitewashed Greenspings Schools 6-0 in the opening game of the series.

Aleem Aishat capped a perfect display in the game with a hat-trick to help her side to a massive win.

In the second match of the day, Queens College, Yaba had to dig deep to outwit Corona School, Agbara 1-0 in an exciting match that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.

In the Boys Category, King’s College Lagos sent a warning signal to other contenders with a 4-2 bashing of hard-fighting Chrisland Schools Ikeja while Igbobi College outshot Eko Boys High Scool 4-3 on penalties after drawing 1-1 at regulation time.

On the second day, Ansar-Ud-Deen were 1-0 better than Methodist Girls High School while Atlantic Hall Epe sent out Federal School of Science & Technical College Akoka with a 3-0 bashing.
