Super Eagles fought back from a goal down on Friday to force hosts Corsica to a 1-1 draw in a friendly staged at the Stade Francois Coty in Ajaccio.
The hosts scored in the second minute, when debutant Tryonne Ebuehi, handled the ball inside his box. Mandrichi put the resultant spot kick beyond goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa.
However, Kelechi Iheanacho drew Nigeria level on 80 minutes, when he also scored from the penalty spot after Oghenekaro Etebo was fouled inside the box.
Nigeria, who did not have their top stars, dominated the friendly, which is part of the team’s preparation for the 2019 African Cup of Nation qualifier against South Africa in Uyo on June 10. They will face Togo in another test game on Thursday in Paris.
Eagles coach Gernot Rohr gave eight players their international debuts in the match.
The debutants were Henry Onyekuru, Ebuehi, Stephen Odey, Sikiru Olatubosun, Uche Agbo, Chidozie Awaziem, Mikel Agu and Alhassan Ibrahim.
