Brighton Hove Albion forward Juliet Adebowale and Denmark-based Joy Omewa are the only overseas-based players invited by Falconets coach Christopher Danjuma for their U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Congo next month.
The 31-player squad was released in a statement by the Communications Department of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Thursday.
Nigeria Women’s Football League champions River United have four players in the squad, while fellow topflight sides Edo Queens, Sunshine Queens, and Bayelsa Queens also have players in the team.

According to the statement, the invited home-based player are expected to resume at the team’s camp at the Serob Hotel, Abuja on Sunday with their training kits, international e-passports and certificates of birth, while the overseas-based players are expected in camp by the end of the month.
The four Rivers Angels players, who are playing in the maiden CAF Women’s Champions League in Egypt, have been excused from camp until the end of the competition.
Nigeria play Congo in the third round of the U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier first leg in Brazzaville on December 5, before hosting the return leg at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos on December 16.
