The Universal Basic Education Commission, UBEC is to commence a National Personnel audit of all basic educational institutions across the country
This is to obtain a comprehensive and reliable data of children in basic schools
The Executive Secretary of UBEC, Dr Hamid Boboyyi stated this while briefing newsmen in Abuja ahead of the exercise.
Dr Boboyyi explained that the audit exercise would enable UBEC obtain the number and qualification of teaching and non-teaching staff in basic schools
He said the exercise would generate reliable data for assessing the impact and achievement of the sector in realization of the sustainable development goals
The UBEC Executive Secretary added that the National Personal Audit exercise would cover all pupils, students and personnel in both public and private basic institutions.
