Adamawa burnt bricks company to create 120,000 jobs

The Adamawa state government has commenced the revitalisation of the state’s burnt brick company which it said would create 120,000 new jobs in the state.
Gov. Jibrilla Bindow of Adamawa made this known while inspecting work at the company on Monday in Mubi.
Bindow said that the company would absorb both the skilled and unskilled manpower in the state.
The governor also said that the project, upon completion, would boost the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the state government.
Bindow said that his administration had already spent N30 million out of the N98 million approved by the state executive council for the project.
He called on both individuals and corporate organisations in the state to patronise the company for its sustainability.
Earlier, Alhaji Ibrahim Kofire, Managing Director of the company, who took the governor round the facility, said that the company would embark on mass recruitment to increase mass production of the bricks to penetrate the trans-Saharan markets.
He commended the governor for giving priority to project, which he said, would have a direct bearing on the lives of the people.
