Ajax Amsterdam have signed Rangers FC defender, Calvin Bassey for a club-record deal.
The Super Eagles defender has signed a five years contract with the Dutch club that will end in 2027.
Ajax will pay EUR 23 million transfer fee to Rangers FC which may increase to EUR 26.5 million.
Rangers confirmed that Bassey has joined Ajax in a deal which is the largest in the history of the club.
“Ranger Football Club can today confirm Calvin Bassey has joined Ajax in a deal which is the largest in Rangers’ history.
“Calvin leaves with best wishes from everyone at Rangers and we thank him for his hard work and commitment over the past two seasons.
“We wish Calvin all the best for his future career,” the statement read.
