As part of efforts to ensure that the Super Eagles come out victorious in their next two matches in the on-going 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has said that it is making arrangements to see that Coach Stephen Keshi signs his contract before the tie coming up in October.
NFF general secretary Musa Amadu who spoke to journalists in Abuja dismissed the insinuation that the coach may not be given a new contract due to the team’s poor outing against Congo and South Africa.
“I cannot see how the coach’s contract will affect the performance of the team. I have no doubt that he will sign a new contract.
Amadu assured that, “I know that it is critically important that the coach signs his contract to secure his future and know exactly what is due to him. I am sure we will be able to sort out those things before the next two games against Sudan.
“As far as election and the two congresses are concerned, I have made the agenda clear that the executive committee will propose to the congress a roadmap. I can confirm to you that the first extraordinary general assembly will take place on September 20 in Warri Delta State”.
