Veteran Nollywood actor, Emmanuel France, has reportedly died.
Olufemi Ogedengbe, a Nigerian filmmaker, posted the tragic news on Instagram.
Referring to France as a legend and an uncle, Ogedengbe reminisced about their collaboration in Tanzania in 2006, where they worked on three film projects together.
The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear.
He expressed his condolences, stating: “Rest in peace to one of Nollywood legends. Uncle Emmanuel France, One of the actors I took to Tanzania in 2006, Shot three movies with him; Cross MY Sin, She Is My Sister & THE Director. R.I.P.”
Ghanaian by birth, Emmanuel France, who is belieced to be in his 80s, was a thespian who dreamed of shooting a film he titled ‘Ghana Must Go’.
It was a project that was very close to his heart.
He has featured in dozens of Nollywood films.
