Justice Taiwo Taiwo, of the Federal High Court Abuja, adjourned the judgment of Governor Ben Ayade, of Cross River State, for his defection from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, till April 7th
The Judge proceeded with the pronouncement of the adjournment after taking the addresses of the parties on the judgment delivered by the court of appeal in Enugu
From the last sitting on this matter, the court had earlier fixed March 25 for the judgment which was later rescheduled to April 6 before today’s adjournment.
The decision was taken, after a letter by Mike Ozekhome SAN, counsel to the governor, was presented where he drew the attention of the court, to a judgment of the Court of Appeal which made the court request the counsels in the parties address the matter.
After taking the parties’ addresses on the court of appeal judgment, the presiding Judge fixed the adjournment day for tomorrow
