The Acting Inspector-General of Police, Mr Suleiman Abba, on Tuesday ordered the redeployment of 32 Commissioners of Police to various commands across the country.
This is contained in a statement issued by the force spokesman, Acting Commissioner of Police, Mr Emmanuel Ojukwu.
The Acting IGP had named new commissioners for 21 states command on Monday, including the FCT.
Two DIGs and 37 CPs were earlier promoted on approval of the Police Service Commission shortly when Suleiman assumed duty.
The statement said that Mr Ibrahim Idris was deployed as CP, Police Mobile Force (PMF); Pius Imue, Administration; Felix Ogundeji, PMF, training, and Hilda Ibufuro-Harrison, Port Authority Police, Western Port.
It said that Michael Ogbodu will now take charge of Homicide, FCID, Abuja; B.M Sobulo, Commandant, Police College, Ikeja; Ekechukwu Nwodibo, Legal, FCID, Force Headquarters, Abuja, and Etop James, Community Policing.
According to the statement, Joshiak Habila takes charge of Counter Terrorism Unit; Damilola Adegbuyi, Special Fraud Unit, FHQ, Abuja; Rashidi Akintude, Intelligence, FIB, Abuja, and Istifanus Shettima, Commandant, Police College, Maiduguri.
Others are Jimoh Ozi-Obeh, Commandant, Police College, Kaduna; Ghazali Mohammed, Election Planning and Monitoring, FHQ, Abuja; Peace Ibekwe-Abdallah, IGP Monitoring Unit, Abuja, and Augustine Evbakhabokun, Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
It said that Adekunle Oladunjeye was deployed to Administration, Finance and Account; Emmanuel Iyang, Courses, Police Staff College, Jos; Oluyemi Oyeleye, Administration, Force CID, Abuja; Victor Menta, Communications, and Ezekiel Zang, Airwing.
With the deployment, Mohammed Mohammed becomes Deputy Commandant, Police Staff College, Jos; Sylvester Umeh, Deputy Force Secretary, Abuja; Henry Fadairo, Commandant, Police College, Oji-River, and Mohammed Hussein, Deputy Commandant, Police Academy, Kano.
The rest are Sherifat Disu-Olajoku, Force CID, Annex, Lagos; Salisu Abdullahi, Special Protection Unit, FHQ, Abuja; Aminchi Baraya, Inspectorate Training; Fatai Owoseni, Operations, and Emmanuel Ibine, Provost, FHQ, Abuja.
Adeyemi Ogunjemilusi and Murtala Mani are now CPs Interpol, FCID, Abuja, and Welfare, Department of Finance and Accounts, FHQ, respectively.
