Access Bank Plc has entered into partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) on capacity development for entrepreneurs.
Both organisations jointly organised a seminar, which focused on enhancing personal productivity skills through effective communication for entrepreneurs.
According to a statement from Access Bank, the event was held recently in the bank’s head office.
Head, Inclusive Banking, Access Bank Ope Wemi-Jones said the seminar was in line with Access Bank’s value proposition to the ‘W’ in business initiative.
The bank’s ‘W’ initiative is to encourage female businesses and entrepreneurs through business education and leadership seminars that cover a wide range of business and financial topics.
She also said the seminar was designed to enhance entrepreneurs’ personal productive skill using effective communication as the number one tool. “This not only gives the entrepreneurs a strong business edge but help them identify and solve challenges that affect their businesses,” she added.
Also speaking at the event, Fatou Giwa of the IFC said the ‘Business Edge’ product session was in line with the corporation’s strategy in Sub-saharan Africa for private sector development through strengthening support for MSME financing, filling markets gaps and supporting women in the private sector.
She further revealed that the partnership between Access Bank and the IFC had been instrumental in developing many innovative offerings that seeks to encourage small businesses like the ‘W’ initiative.
